About The Role

With the new announcement of a global partnership with UFC, the professional hired for the role will provide vision, management and leadership for the development of The Memento Group’s expansion into a new sporting partnership with the UFC.

Success will be measured by the development and delivery of a strategic plan, quality of output, audience engagement, commercial success and the meeting of bespoke KPIs and analytics, as well as company performance.

Key Priorities

  1. Design and develop a multi-year trading programme to grow the new UFC brand, working in collaboration with internal teams and departments to ensure a coherent timeline of delivery.
  2. Build a strong relationship with the UFC, athletes and partners to deliver a profitable and successful platform.
  3. Work closely with the UFC’s athlete development team and any other relevant parties.
  4. Project manage the product team to develop a range of innovative products that capture the spirit and heritage of the UFC, consistently evolving the range by working with the UFC to expand what’s possible
  5. Explore and drive new partnerships to drive revenue and growth.

Key UFC Collectibles Sales Channels:

  1. eCommerce (Digital) – Ecommerce platform / online store
  2. Auction (Digital) – Initially online, with the prospect on physical live auctions
  3. Concierge – Through the development of a database of high net worth collectors
  4. B2B – UFC partners, sponsors, promoters and hospitality.
  5. Retail - Wholesale and trade partnerships at retail, including integration into the UFC’s event retail in various forms.

Responsibilities for UFC Ecommerce Manager

  • Create and develop long-term relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Ensure contractual obligations within contracts are followed from both sides
  • Maximise the marketing support available to Memento from UFC, with commercial success front of mind
  • Enhance UFC relationships through effective relationship management, to ensure partnerships are maintained and improved each year
  • Continuous exploration of commercial opportunities within the industry, to leverage and maximise each partnership
  • Monitor the financial aspects of each licence, helping to build a product range in the context of product cost prices and sales margins and providing analysis and reports
  • Establish a plan of supply and delivery of all product categories working closely with the Product, Design and Merchandising teams internally. This involves tracking product development from initial designs through to final samples and approval, acting as liaison with the licensor
  • Ensure product supply from UFC is delivered in a planned and timely manner
  • Work with internal Production, Digital and Commercial teams to co-ordinate product launch plans, marketing and delivery of sales against targets
  • Lead the creation and delivery of the plans to meet defined objectives successfully
  • Build long-term relationships with the UFC, participating fighter, licensees and sponsors
  • Work with the data and digital teams to ensure that the platform delivers for clients and customers, to build a customer database and measure the performance of sales initiatives
  • Identify and develop opportunities to work with targeted third parties such as firms selling experiences and organisations which promote and celebrate the values of the UFC.
  • Encourage high-sales and good customer service practices
  • Promote and maintain a positive and dynamic image for The Memento Group

Working hours are 9am – 5.30pm , Monday to Friday with a weekly presence in the Memento office required (2+ days per week): however, flexibility will be required to fulfil the duties of the role during sports events on weekends.
