The Memento Group

July 07, 2021

Last weekend, The Memento Group made a welcome return to events, with its F1 Authentics team present at the Formula 1 BWT Grosser Preis Von Österreich 2021.

After a year of being unable to attend sports events due to Covid-19, The Memento Group were thrilled to be able to return to Paddock Club last weekend for the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix.

As a business who, for years now, have had a presence at the majority of races on the Formula 1 calendar, 2020 and the start of 2021 have shaped up a little differently. Despite expanding our partnerships and experiencing one of our best years to date in terms of growth, there is no denying how much we as a team have missed being at the centre of the action.

A welcome return

Nevertheless, we were fortunate in being able to send our excellent Partnerships team to Austria for the second round held at the mighty Red Bull Ring. Setting up our F1 Authentics boutique in Paddock Club for the first time since 2019, our colleagues Angus Mainland and Anouska Strähnz were on the ground in Styria for what we anticipated would be a busy race weekend.

Our F1 Authentics boutique is a pop-up shop positioned within the Paddock Clubs of each F1 race. Accessible to guests and ticket holders of Paddock Club, our boutique features a selection of our authentic F1 memorabilia, including items that are available online as well as some that are exclusive to the pop-up. With our knowledgeable staff on hand to discuss the product, from the race-used histories, to pricings, guests have the chance to purchase some of our rare items – allowing them to take home the perfect memento from an F1 race.

Working in F1 means the majority of the Memento team are used to a fast-paced way of life and being able to attend the Austrian Grand Prix gave a much-needed adrenaline fix. With Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claiming his fifth win of the season, and third back-to-back victory, a sea of orange could be seen throughout the stands.

Our Paddock Club duo reported back on what it was like to be trackside, alongside Paddock Club guests and fans who have been eagerly waiting to return, just like us.

“It was fantastic to take our F1 Authentics boutique to the Austrian Grand Prix, marking our first event of the season, and first since the Covid-19 pandemic began. The atmosphere has been fantastic, not only to be back in the midst of the action ourselves, but to see so many fans around the track enjoying the sport.

“It’s made such a difference actually getting to network with our partners and customers face to face; now we can’t wait to head to the next race – our home Grand Prix at Silverstone,” commented Anouska Strähnz, Digital & Partnerships Executive at F1 Authentics, The Memento Group.

“As huge race fans who live and breathe the sport, it’s been absolutely incredible to be back at the race track. It makes such a difference getting to be trackside, both for watching the action and for networking with partners, clients, and customers of The Memento Group.

“We’ve had a steady flow of customers visiting the boutique and have met some customers who are interested in our Concierge service – which is a private service we offer for those looking to spend a bit more money with us – so it’s been a really positive experience. The business has had such a great year, and now being able to return to events means we can expect to see even more growth, so we’re so excited for what’s next!” commented Angus Mainland, Partnerships Manager at F1 Authentics, The Memento Group.

If you’re attending Paddock Club at the coming Formula 1 races, make sure you head to the F1 Authentics boutique for first-class services and exclusive F1 memorabilia. To discover the F1 Authentics online collection, head to the shop now or contact Concierge to find out about our private sales.
