THE MEMENTO GROUP LAUNCHES FIRST 2022 F1® SHOW CAR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ALFA ROMEO F1 TEAM ORLEN

The Memento Group (TMG), the UK-based sports licensing, retail and memorabilia business, has produced the first 2022 official F1 show car in its collection. The Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN C42 show car will be available on f1authentics.com, TMG’s Formula 1 e-commerce platform, operated under licence from F1, from 13th May. It is the first official team show car from the current season to be brought to market.

The C42 will be showcased on the F1 Race Cars page for immediate purchase, as well as being available through an online auction, also hosted on the website. Earlier this year, TMG renewed its licensing partnership with Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN which included the agreement to construct and sell their F1 show cars.

For the successful bidder, the show car will be signed by both Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu. A valuable collector’s item of team memorabilia for any Alfa Romeo F1 fan or collector, the C42 show car will feature chassis and liveries from the current 2022 F1 season cars driven by Bottas and Zhou.

Barry Gough, CEO & Founder of The Memento Group commented:

“It’s fantastic to finally unveil our 2022 C42 Show Car. We’ve been working hard alongside Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN to bring this spectacle to a worldwide audience.

“Being able to manufacture and produce a show car for an F1 team on the current grid is a monumental development, not only for ourselves as a business, but for fans and collectors around the globe - we’re offering the chance to own an F1 car like those on-track.”

Frédéric Vasseur, CEO and Team Principal of Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN:

“We are delighted with the work done with The Memento Group to bring to life our C42 show car. This unique item is an incredibly faithful reproduction of the car driven by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu this season and for a fan to be able to own it is incredible. It’s another step in our successful strategy of getting closer to our fans and we can’t wait to see the way this initiative is received by the public.”

The C42 race car is part of the new generation of F1 cars which has been built under new regulations. Originally introduced for the 2021 season, the pandemic meant these new regulations eventually came into force for the current season.
